They gave me a little squeeze stress ball thingy to hang onto. Honestly, a little uncomfortable, but not painful to have done. My husband watched the surgery and I think after *seeing* the proceedure, he'd not get it done! I hate to say it, but for me, a little ignorance was the key to just doing it. My uncle got it done just before tax season started; he was up and running in no time. Though with the long days and glaring at all that paperwork he's had to stop and rest his eyes often (at least initially). As for me, I'm not sure I could work up the courage to do it. :-/ So how did it go? Was it as frightening as you thought it might be? (It seems like all went well after reading your comment above)…

I'm having to rest from staring at this screen every two hours or so, but overall, I'm pretty much back to normal. The biggest problem is it takes a little longer to be able to see and LCD screen. I was out of computing commission for about 4 days. By the first day after the surguery I could see but focus was hard. By day 2 i was panicking that i couldn't see the computer. Took me until 4 days after surgery that I could see LCD screen. But I would/will do it again if I need to I had mine done about 5 years ago.
