Welcome to 4826 E 18th Street in Tucson, Arizona!

This is a cute little 2 bedroom, 1 bath home in a neighborhood called Del Monte Village.  How can you resist something in a neighborhood named after fruit?

This is a 1000 square foot house, built in front room of 4826 e 18th st in tucson arizona1952.  It’s got both central A/C and an evaporative cooler, with forced air gas heat.

This is the living room, just as you enter through that door, shown open, on the right hand side of the shot.  There’s some nice windows in the room that have been upgraded to dual pane windows.

I like this front room quite a bit.  I think it’s got an excellent floorplan, very usable.

One other thing that makes this house unique is that the floorplan is unaltered from the 50’s – there aren’t any funky additions or strange corners or odd wasted space anywhere in this cute little bungalow, which is rare for central Tucson!

Here’s the kitchen, with the original blue and white tile countertops.  The cabinets on the sink side are original, but have a nice fresh coat of white paint.  Some cabinets have been added to the other side of the kitchen, which gives it a lot more storage space.  Just around the corner from the refrigerator is an indoor laundry area, with cabinets over the top of them.  Indoor laundry is also unique!

This is the bedroom being used as the master.  It’s got a nice ceiling fan, and a big window out to the side yard.  I believe that’s a queen sized bed in there now, so a king should fit in with room to spare.

This other bedroom is being used as a den.  This one has a nice big sliding glass door to the back patio and yard.  This room is probably the one I’d elect to use as the master because it has two closets, one of them quite sizeable.

And of course, the bath.  The tile and tub have just been resurfaced, so everything is shiny and white and clean.  There’s a pedestal sink in here too.

I love those original tubs.  You don’t find cast iron tubs like that anymore.  The glass block is nice in this bath too, as it lets in light, but keeps the privacy in the shower.

This is one of my favorite photos of the house, to the left: the view from the patio of the backyard.  There’s a good sized patio off the back of the house, and the yard has been nicely landscaped, so it feels very patio of 4826 e 18th st in tucson arizonaprivate and serene.  On one side of the yard are large storage sheds, and in the other side yard is a fenced off dog run, should you need one.

Speaking of dogs, there’s a big doggie door through the kitchen off the carport, so your pets can beat the heat inside and still back yard of 4826 e 18th st in tucson arizonabe able to run patrols of the yard during the day.

So there you have it!  It’s such a cute home.  Small, yes, but efficient.  A real peach, in this Del Monte neighborhood.
